SUNDOG SKI GUIDES

RISK

By joining the guides at Sundog Ski Guides in an adventure you are encountering a certain amount of risk.  We at Sundog Ski Guides will do our best to discuss this risk with you throughout this adventure. We will help you to the best of our abilities to understand what you are getting into and cater to your risk tolerance but is also important to understand that your guides are human and fallible.  Please feel free to ask questions about this and anything else during your adventure with us!

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

1) all clients will be required to follow the safety policies and procedures of Sundog Ski Guides (“S.S.G.”) and the guides’ instructions during activities.  2) All clients will be required to sign a Participant Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement in favor of S.S.G. before departing on any trip; and 3) each client agrees and acknowledges when they sign up for an  S.S.G. activity that they have significant responsibility for their own safety and that they agree they are ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety during participation in a tour.

RESERVATION POLICY

In order to book your trip with Sundog Ski Guides we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking.  If booking within 30 days of your reservation date, payment in full is required.  Cash, Visa or Mastercard are our preferred methods of taking reservations, please call us if you have an alternate method of paying for your trip.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Cancellations made greater than 30 days in advance will receive a full refund.  Cancellations made between 30 days and 48 hours of the booking date will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking date will receive a 50% credit for another sundog tour booked within one year from original date.

Sundog Ski Guides is happy to say that we can go into the mountains almost every day.  But, because living with what mother nature gives us is part of life in Alaska unfortunately we cannot offer refunds for cancellations for extreme weather or weather related events.  We recommend some form of trip insurance that covers this occurrence.  Cancellations by Sundog Ski Guides for other reasons will receive a full refund.

TRAVEL AND RESCUE INSURANCE

Travel insurance is recommended to cover the costs of cancellations due to weather or other unexpected circumstances.  The need for outside rescue resources, while uncommon, is a possibility in the winter mountain environment.  Supplemental rescue insurance is recommended if your current policy does not cover this.
